1 Peter 4:12 “ Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:”
The scripture goes on to say that we should rejoice in trials. It also says that the trying of our faith works patience. Sometimes when God is moving us from one path to another, it may seem as if we are facing many difficulties. However, God knows how to get us to do the things we need to do and sometimes He has to make us uncomfortable in our present circumstance.
For instance, a person may never have started their own business if they weren’t unhappy in their present job. If my boss treated me fairly, I would probably become complacent. However, the blessing God has in store, may require that I have my own business. Having my own business allows me to be a blessing to others, opens up an avenue for greater income. Gives me more control over my day -to-day activities. Allows God to have more input.
Sometimes when God wants us to move, He may allow us to have difficulties in our present living arrangement. We may get an unreasonable rent increase, that causes us to look elsewhere for residence. That allows God to put us where we need to be. Where we live is not just about the building itself, it is also about the neighborhood and our immediate neighbors. I recently watched a tv show called “neighborhood wars”. It showed me just how blessed I am to have the neighbors that I do 😊
When we have the confidence to believe that ALL things are working together for our good, we will find it easier to be at peace during what seems to be a trial. When we firmly believe that God loves us and has our best interest at heart, in every area of our lives, we will find it possible to rejoice in trials.
Why be a wizard, when you can be a Child of God?
