THE FUTURE

Always Bright

For the born-again believer in Christ, the future is always bright. No matter what happens in the world we know that this is not our real home. We are just passing through. Heaven is our forever home. A place that any who has visited describes as a place of incomparable beauty, serenity, and love. It would be a shame to focus entirely on what planet earth has to offer and make no preparation for our forever home.

I watched a program on tv where Jesse Duplantis describes his visit to heaven. It took place in the 80’s. I fully believe his description because it is backed up by many who have also visited and returned. I hope you will avail yourself of his book or watch the tv program where he describes heaven. It will surely make you glad that you are headed there.  One important thing he shares is the fact that there are differences in the levels of heaven’s inhabitants. He shares that the robes correspond to a person’s level. These levels are based on the life lived on earth. He is an excellent storyteller and enables one to get a good idea of what he saw and experienced there.

There have been times in the past when God has shared prophetic messages with me. He showed me what was going to take place during the pandemic. He also instructed me to start storing a little more food in advance. I shared this instruction with some of my personal acquaintances and family members. Most recently the Lord shared this with me: “The country is sliding into a recession”. Those were the exact words. I am no economist and, as a matter of fact, I looked up what the word “recession” means. There are probably things that I need to do in preparation. I am sure that He will reveal them to me as the days go by. Pray on it and see what the Lord will have you do. 

I do not take lightly, sharing prophecy. I would not want to say that God said something when He did not. However, we are encouraged to try the Spirits when we receive a prophetic word. Not every word of prophecy should be believed (1 John 4:1-5). I heard someone recently share that God told her that those who do not vote for former president Trump will be cursed. Really???! I rebuke that prophecy. God’s people have many promises in the bible telling of his provision and love for His children. If God can forgive the sins named in the 10 commandments, He can certainly forgive how we vote.

I am missing my next-door neighbor who recently went home to be with the Lord. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She and her husband have helped me on many occasions with things pertaining to the upkeep of my yard. Things like up righting and cementing my pergola when it blew over. Putting in my fence gate. Her passing was sudden, due to illness. I believe the Lord took her home to end her suffering. I know that she is enjoying heaven right now. 

Be thankful for all your blessings. Follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit. Be grateful for those in your life who love you and make your life more pleasant. Be courageous and bold, for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ is on your side.
