Isaiah 43:26 Put me in remembrance…
It is ok to remind God of His promises. In fact, He wants us to do this. Whatever personal promises God has made to you; whatever promises you are standing on in the bible, God wants you to repeat them back to Him. It is not that God has forgotten, per se, it is that He wants you to stand in faith when you approach Him. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. When we repeat what God has said, we are boosting our faith.
There are many scriptures that contain God’s promises to His children. When we remind God of these promises and stand on them in faith, we move God to action. Matthew 7:11 “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
Let us examine some promissory scriptures that we can stand on. We can base our positive affirmations on these scriptures:
Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus…I THANK YOU LORD THAT ALL MY NEEDS ARE BEING MET TODAY.
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it…I THANK YOU LORD FOR RICHES WITH NO SORROW ATTACHED.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours…I THANK YOU LORD FOR PROVIDING ME WITH THE THINGS I HAVE PRAYED FOR.
Psalm 5:12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield…I THANK YOU LORD THAT YOUR FAVOR SURROUNDS ME TODAY.
John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you…this scripture shows the importance of standing on God’s words…It is not only through God’s words that we are saved, it is through His words that we are sustained. We are given a promise from Jesus Himself that if we let His words abide (Abide: Meaning to accept or act in accordance with) in us, we can ask for what we desire and receive it. I THANK YOU LORD THAT TODAY I WILL RECEIVE AND EXPERIENCE ANSWERS TO MY PRAYERS.
Every day, we should say positive affirmations. Tying them to the scriptures, helps our faith.
