There is an open invitation by Jesus to the world. Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life".
As with any invitation, there is a time when it will be too late to accept the invite. Now, is the time to make sure that we are right with God. To make sure that we are born-again and a part of His earthly kingdom. There was a time when I knew of God but did not have a personal relationship with Him. This is the danger that comes from being merely “religious”. I did not know consciously how to, or that there was a way to be born-again and become a new creation and a child of God. I always had a measure of faith in God and never questioned His existence. I remember I got an “F” in college because I disagreed with my Philosophy teacher who wrote a hypothesis that he believed proved that God did not exist. He kept my test paper at the bottom of the pile; I believe he wanted to be sure who wrote it. He then claimed He could poke holes in my theory. I never retook the class.
There is a marked difference between knowing about God and knowing God. The only way to know God is through Jesus. John 14:6 “ Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Unless the sin that separates us from God is first dealt with through repentance, it will continue to separate us. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Some people think that once they give their life to God their life will be boring. Nothing is further from the truth. God gives us an abundant life. A life filled with possibilities and adventures. We can dream big dreams and see them manifested. We have the confidence that no matter what happens, God is able to work all things for our good. God is concerned with every aspect of our lives and as a good Father will hear and answer our prayers. He has promised us an abundant life. A life where we are spiritually, emotionally, financially, physically provided for.
So today, if you have not yet answered the invitation, say yes to Jesus. Say yes to living in the supernatural, yes to peace of mind, yes to receiving all that being a child of God supplies. You will never regret it.
