Even though it is only the 2nd month of the year, there have been many major changes in my life and the lives of my children. God surely is on the move. I truly believe that Jesus is coming back soon. Many prophetic signs mentioned in the bible are coming to pass; wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, etc. The world seems to be heading in the wrong direction more and more. People who stand on biblical principles and the teachings of the bible are not very popular in society today. Man seems to think that he is allowed to make his own moral judgement as to what is right and what is not, without any input from God.
We know that God hates sin but loves the sinner. We also know that God is a God of judgement. Even though He is very patient towards us, we know that at some point in time, His judgment will be meted out. We have been given the ability to choose God or choose the world. As we move further and further away from biblical principles in society many feel emboldened to flaunt their sinful ways. There is much less guilt associated with sin and much more acceptance of it.
However, it is not society that we will stand before and give an account of our lives, it is before God. God never changes, the things He hated before He hates today. The things He called sin before, He still considers sin today. Thank God for grace! Thank God for His patience and longsuffering towards us! Thank God that one day He will rule the world! The bible describes a period of 1,000 years known as the millennium when God will rule the world. During this time there will be peace in the earth. The devil will be unable to influence the actions of men. (Revelation 20:7, Isaiah 65:25). Can you imagine a world where you do not have to constantly watch your back because evil is all around? A world where you can let your guard down? A world where when someone says something they really mean it? God is also going to make a new heaven and a new earth, where He will reign forever (Revelation 21).
One of the reasons why I love the Lord is because I know that He is all powerful and no man can stand in the way of His will. What God has determined to do, will be done. He says to us “choose you this day whom you will serve”.
