Job 42: 12-13 “The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters.”
Job 42: 7 “ And so it was, after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.”
Most of us are familiar with the story of Job. We also do not wish to be tested to the level that Job was 😊 We, however, may be tested by having to wait for a promise to materialize. We may be tested in our health, finances, relationships, etc. We read the promises of God and claim them for ourselves. Yet, it seems that the promises do not always materialize immediately. This is where faith comes in. God does not experience time the way we do, 2 Peter 3: 8 “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing: that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
God’s timing is always perfect. There are many things that God knows and sees that we don’t. This allows Him to determine the perfect time to move on our behalf. Our job is to stay in faith and not give up on the promise.
Job was blessed more after he was tested than he was before. God was pleased with Job’s reaction to his test. He did not curse God as his wife suggested. He did not speak of God as being evil. Sometimes when we are going through a waiting period or a test, we can receive wrong input from friends. They may want us to give up on our dreams. They may tell us that what we are believing for is not possible. We know that all things are possible with God. He who created the universe is capable of doing much more than we could ever ask or think. When God sets out to bless us, no devil can stop it from happening.
Today, if you are going through trials, do not give up hope. Hold fast to your profession of faith. One day you will see the manifestation of what you have been waiting and praying for.
