I watched a show on tv recently, which I thought was a good example of God’s faithfulness and the fact that He ALWAYS keeps His promises:
This young man had a dream when he was only 12 years old, that he had a daughter. The thing he noticed in the dream, that was peculiar, was the fact that he was blond with light colored eyes and his daughter, in the dream, had olive skin and dark eyes. In the dream the child’s name was “Chloe”.
Several years later, when he became an adult, he found the girl he wanted to marry. In one of their conversations, he asked her, if she had a daughter what would she name her; she responded “Chloe”. This still did not add up, as his wife-to-be did not have olive skin and dark eyes.
After marrying and trying to have a child for 5 years, without success, his wife suggested that they adopt. His wife shared that she was having a hard time not feeling resentment towards God because she had not conceived in all those years. After applying for adoption, they were notified that there was a mother-to-be who wanted them to have her child. They went to meet with her and noticed that she was of a darker complexion and had dark eyes. They asked her if she had picked out a name for her daughter and she said, yes she had. The name she had picked out was “Chloe”.
Not long after, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with olive colored skin and dark eyes. The baby was given to the couple in adoption. The husband realized that his adopted daughter “Chloe” was the little girl he had seen in the dream he had when he was 12 years old.
This story resonated with me because so many times when God is moving to bring about something in our lives that is a blessing, the journey may not make sense to us. We can only believe, by faith, that He is in control and whatever He promised us is going to take place.
