GIVING
Would you be willing to have your only Son tortured and killed? A Son who did everything you asked of Him. Would you be willing to turn your back on Him in order to help people who were disobedient to you? As the sins of the world was placed on Him, Jesus cried “My God, My God why have you forsaken Me”, (Matthew 27:46). The sin that separates us from God, in that moment, separated Christ from the Father as He took our sins upon Himself.
God’s grace is made real to me when I think on the fact that God sees and knows everything. He sees all the wicked things that men do. Yet, He makes His sun to shine on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45).
So, if, and when we feel that we do not want to give to others, let us think on what God has given us.
