A good way to start the day is to spend time with the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving. It sets a positive tone for the day. Let us not wait until we have lost something in order to realize that it was a blessing. Just waking up in a country that is not at war is a blessing. Having the ability to share Christ with others without fear, is a blessing.
Let us be thankful for having received the most precious gift of all: a relationship with God and eternal life. We are able to communicate with the creator of the universe. Think about that, we have access to the great I AM. God is so powerful that there is nothing impossible with Him. Nothing can stand in the way of what He has purposed. Yet, He chooses to have a relationship with us. Even David marvels at this when he asks: Psalm 8: 4-5 “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”
Today, there are many people who do not know the Lord and feel hopeless when faced with life’s challenges. There are people who commit suicide because they feel there is no hope for a better life. However, we know that God can change our circumstances in an instant. We know that trials make us strong and there is one greater than us who is able to give us victory in our circumstances. He says to ask and we shall receive that our joy might be full. He also says we have not because we ask not.
God is looking to bless us in every area of our life. There is no job too big and no job too small for Him to assist us. When we let Him into all areas of our lives, we begin to excel in all areas of our lives.
So, let us be thankful and praise Him today for all that He has done and all that He is about to do for us.
