Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
Sometimes it seems that we wait a long time for a promise of God to be manifested in our lives. However, we must hold on to faith and hope. As the above scripture declares “God is not a man that He should lie”. In due time and at the appointed time, the promise will be fulfilled.
Galatians 6:9 (EHV) “ Let us not become weary of doing good, because at the appointed time we will reap, if we do not give up.” Staying in faith is also a part of doing good. Standing on the promises of God outlined in the bible, is also a part of doing good. When we read and confess God’s promises it not only builds our faith, it helps to activate God’s promises in our lives.
Whatever we are believing for, whether it is a personal promise God made us, or a promise found in the bible, we must continue to believe that the promise will come to pass. Satan likes to sow doubt in God’s word. As he said to Eve in the garden of Eden, he still tries to say to us today “Yea, hath God said…” Genesis 3:1(KJV). Trying to pervert the word of God and to tells us that God does not mean what He has said. Trying to tell us that God cannot be trusted. As we stand on the word and repeat what God has said, we are resisting him, and he will have no power over us.
Once we have prayed, we should start thanking God for answering our prayer. Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” We know that it is God’s will for us to be in good health, to not have financial problems, to grow spiritually, to receive the Holy Spirit, to experience His peace, to live an abundant life.
These things can be a part of our daily professions in faith. It is our faith that moves God.
