2026
The Year Jesus Returns ?!
Someone predicted that Jesus would return on a specific day in 2025. Needless to say, that did not happen. This man said that Jesus appeared to him in a vision and told him He would be coming back on that specific day. A lot of people believed it. They started giving away their possessions, including their animals. They waited and waited but Jesus did not appear. While it is good to eagerly await the Lord’s return, the Bible tells us that no one knows the exact date of His return. Jesus said that only the Father knows (Mark 13:32).
It is possible for Jesus to return in 2026. The stage has been set for His return. I know that Jesus does not wish to send anyone to hell. He died so we would not have to spend eternity there. Some people say they do not believe God would send anyone to a place like hell. Well, He is not sending anyone there; there are people who choose to reject Jesus’ redemption and as a result, will be eternally separated from God in hell. Knowing this, how many people would sell their salvation for the wealth of the world? The world in its present state is temporary. Being wealthy does not guarantee happiness or peace in the short time that we live here.
God already knows all that you will encounter in 2026. He can see the future. Nothing that you encounter will take Him by surprise. He is already laying the groundwork of provision for you. He is already lining up the right people for you to meet that will move you in the right direction. Once we are convinced that God truly loves us and has our best interests at heart, we can let go of our own will and follow His (Jeremiah 29:11). In His will is where all our blessings can be found.
The best New Year’s resolution we can make is to decide to let God lead us in all our decision making in 2026. We can make our own decisions and beg God to bail us out when things go wrong or we can seek His will in our decision making and get it right from the outset. I think the latter way of doing things is the wiser.
I pray that 2026 will be a blessed year that exceeds your expectations as God provides you with the abundant life Jesus promised.
